Kurt F. Somerville has more than 30 years of experience serving as a trusted advisor and is responsible for investing and managing significant family assets.

Kurt F. Somerville serves as a Senior Vice President at Hemenway Trust Company. He has more than 30 years of experience serving as a trusted advisor and is responsible for investing and managing significant family assets, including stocks, bonds, individual retirement accounts, private equity, real estate and alternative investments. Kurt works with clients to develop long-term relationships, assisting them with wealth management and estate, financial, and tax planning.

Kurt advises high net worth clients on a variety of issues and concerns related to preserving, enhancing, and transferring complex assets, including family lands and closely held businesses and venture capital and private equity partnerships.

Kurt is also Of Counsel at Hemenway & Barnes LLP. He formerly served as Managing Partner and head of the firm's Trust Department. He has an active practice serving as a professional fiduciary, including serving as Co-Trustee of Jane's Trust Foundation, a leading charitable trust in New England; the CHT Foundation; and other charitable trusts and foundations.
