Heather Smalley, CTFA, serves as the Director of Operations and Administration at Hemenway Trust Company, where she leads the company’s financial, administration, and operational functions. Heather works closely with firm management to provide leadership and strategic planning. She plays a pivotal role in ensuring regulatory compliance and mitigating risks, while delivering exceptional client service.

Heather is a Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA). With over a decade of experience in auditing, she has extensive knowledge of financial reporting procedures. Prior to joining Hemenway Trust Company, Heather worked for one of the leading CPA firms in New England, and managed audits for a multinational corporation. She is highly experienced in financial statement preparation and analysis, budgeting, internal controls, and process implementation and enhancement.

Heather Smalley is an active member of her community, participating in various organizations and committees. She is a dedicated member of the Parent Teacher Organization, where she works to support educational initiatives and enhance the school experience for students. Additionally, Heather contributes her time to the Friends of Music, advocating for the arts and fostering a vibrant cultural scene in the local school.

Heather is also passionate about supporting transparent and efficient local processes and values civic engagement and community involvement, proudly serving as a Supervisor of the Checklist in her hometown.
