Hemenway Trust Company is a proud sponsor of “Layla and Majnun,” featuring the Mark Morris Dance Group and The Silk Road Ensemble at the Hopkins Center for the Arts, in Hanover, New Hampshire. An ancient Persian love story makes a rare Western appearance in this stunning collaboration, with live music.
The Hopkins Center for the Arts, designed by Wallace Harrison, the architect of Lincoln Center and the United Nations Building in New York City, has served as the cultural hub of the Dartmouth College campus since it first opened in November 1962. In 1988 the “Hop” was named one of the nation’s exemplary performing arts centers by the National Endowment for the Arts.
